Grace and Ben’s wedding at the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Seattle was a masterclass in modern luxury—where thoughtful design, architectural scale, and quiet romance came together in the heart of downtown Seattle. Designed and produced by Reneille Velez of Gian Events, the celebration reimagined the ballroom as an immersive garden, blending couture-level detail with the natural elegance of the Pacific Northwest.
From the moment guests entered, it was clear this was no traditional ballroom transformation. Grace and Ben’s wedding marked the first time the Four Seasons Seattle featured a fully draped ceiling installation. Cascading greenery and refined white florals floated overhead, creating a sense of movement and depth that enveloped the room. The installation softened the architecture while elevating it—an intentional balance of structure and organic beauty that mirrored Seattle itself.
The ceremony unfolded along a dramatic mirrored aisle, a striking yet understated design choice that amplified the surrounding florals and reflected the ambient light throughout the space. As Grace made her entrance, the aisle created a layered visual moment—elegant, modern, and quietly cinematic—allowing the design to feel expansive without overwhelming the intimacy of the ceremony.
SETTING THE TABLES
For the reception, the palette transitioned into nuanced tones of blue, ivory, and blush. Blue was purposefully selected as a tribute to Seattle—its water, sky, and ever-present moodiness—while still maintaining a soft, romantic sensibility. Lush arrangements of roses and hydrangeas grounded each table, complemented by deep blue velvet seating, crystal glassware, and warm gold accents. Every tabletop detail was meticulously curated, from custom menus to refined textures, reinforcing a sense of elevated restraint rather than excess.
As the evening progressed, the space transformed once more. Beneath the floating garden overhead, Grace and Ben shared their first dance on a reflective floor that mirrored the ceiling above, creating the illusion of infinity. The moment felt timeless and editorial—an interplay of light, movement, and emotion that lingered long after the music faded.
